What is Business Coaching?
Business coaching is an DYNAMIC relationship between client and coach that is all about FINANCIAL SUCCESS.
Business coaching is extremely effective in creating successful actions designed to move the business owner in a positive direction. It is the partnering of client and coach in an extraordinary relationship with big goals.
My particular specialty is to help business owners raise the ceiling on what they thought possible in terms of income and free time. I do that through marketing, branding, and sales strategies. If this is what you need, you've come to the right place.
With the popularity of professional business coaching comes misconceptions about what business coaching really is. Anyone can call themselves a Business Coach, but it’s only the professionally-trained coach who can effectively move you to the level of success you’re seeking.
So, what exactly is business coaching?
Business coaching gives the entrepreneur a BUSINESS PARTNER who doesn’t share in the business profits. Anyone who’s ever had a business partner knows that partnerships are rarely equal. One partner ends up carrying the other. There can be disagreeements and inequities. With a Business Coach, you’ll receive unbiased advice for a monthly fee, not 50% of your profits.
Business coaching is about ACTION and ACCOUNTABILITY. Think about all the workshops and conferences you have attended where you learned a new technique or strategy that was never implemented. Your Business Coach will help you get it done and hold you accountable, but you must be ready to take ACTION. The client does the work not the coach.
Business coaching is SUPPORT and feedback. Your Business Coach asks “What are your challenges? What are you NOT doing? When are you going to do that?”
Business coaching helps the business owner to CLARIFY their values. When your values are in line with your business, greater success is possible.
Business coaching helps the business owner create a VISION for the future. A business owner with a Vision is much more likely to succeed than one that doesn’t know where he’s going.
Business coaching helps the business owner identify OPPORTUNITIES. A Business Coach can help you to see an opportunity you may have passed up.
Business coaching helps the business owner see his business through DIFFERENT EYES. A Business Coach can see what you don’t see.
Business coaching brings out the BEST in the entrepreneur. Have you ever had someone truly interested in your success? Business coaching will take you to your limits and you’ll love it.
Business coaching gives the business owner an UNBIASED partner. Your spouse may not want you to start your dream business because she’ll have to sacrifice time with you and possibly family income until the business is sustainable.
Business coaching is for clients who are READY to make changes and improvements in their business and their life. You create the agenda, you do the work. I provide a framework, ideas, and encouragement.
Let’s look at what business coaching is NOT.
Business coaching is not consulting. A consultant will tell you what to do regardless of whether it suits you and it’s up to you to put the plan in motion. Very often, clients do not implement the plan because they have no motivation or they do not like the plan. A Business Coach will help you figure out what you do best, make a plan, push you to do more, and will stay with you as you implement the plan. It’s no accident that professional athletes have coaches – they know the value of partnership.
Business coaching is not a quick fix. Business coaching is a partnership between coach and client lasting from several months to several years. Building a business takes time and energy. True success comes from doing the work necessary to achieve results. You must be ready to do the work that will maximize your potential.
