Hello, I am Suzanne Muusers. For the last 14 years I have been coaching financial firm leaders. As an Executive Coach I help my clients develop deeper business goals and focus on achieving them.

Do you lead by example? Are you setting a good example? Good leaders are calm, cool, and collected. They exude ethical treatment and lead an exemplary life. Their direct reports look up to them and often ask for guidance. If you need to be a better leader, I can help you with that.
Do you communicate well with staff? Or are you vague in your requests? If you have high employee turnover, you may not be communicating well with your staff. Did you know that costs for employee turnover can be as high a one to five times annual salary? That’s why it’s so important for you to train staff well and communicate effectively.
It takes a truly great Leader to motivate and encourage staff to perform at their best. Some people are motivated by money. Others are motivated by recognition of a job well done. Still others are motivated by opportunities of advancement. Learn how to tell the difference. Sometimes a bonus structure is needed to encourage firm goals and personal goals. Learn how to develop your bonus structure. My clients report that their motivation skills improve dramatically during a coaching engagement.
Understand and manage your own emotions and those of people around you. Leaders with a high degree of emotional intelligence know what they’re feeling, what their emotions mean, and how these emotions can affect others. Learning to harness emotional intelligence, focusing on the triggers that cause issues, using motivation, empathy, and social skills, can help the financial advisor leader make enormous strides towards a better workplace.
Identifying bottlenecks so you can clearly see the issue is the first step in problem solving. I can help you identify the problem, develop a plan to solve it, and then implement the plan. Sometimes an outside person can see what you cannot. Objective analyzing is often needed. My coaching clients say that they are able to handle problems more effectively after coaching with me.
A solo advisor can get only so far in their journey to success. At 30 – 50 million the advisor needs additional staffing. Typical successful RIA firms with 500 million AUM have approximately five employees. My clients learn how to hire top performing staff, compensate staff appropriately and foster community and serenity among their staff.
Most investment advisors are left brained and as a result they have difficulty delegating tasks and responsibilities to others. Yet, this crucial skill is absolutely essential to the effectiveness and success of you as a Leader in your firm. You are not meant for clerical duties. Your skills are best utilized with clients and relationship building. My clients learn how to value their time and delegate appropriately.
What does "strategic" really mean? It means making decisions that alter the direction of your firm and lead to a competitive advantage. It means taking advantage of opportunities to make leaps and bounds and close in on your goals. My clients grow as strategic thinkers and develop into entrepreneurs.
There comes a point in every financial practice where growing the firm requires a change in strategy from taking anyone and everyone as clients and moving towards a model where you are attracting affluent clients who love what you offer.
