Coaching for Women Financial advisors

Coaching for Women Financial advisors: Are you a female financial advisor who wants grow personally and professionally?

Hello! I am Suzanne Muusers, Executive Career Coach for women in the finance industry for the past 18 years! I coach motivated women who want to grow their skills and their career.

I work with:
1. Women financial advisors
2. Women career professionals in financial services

Ninety percent of professionals in financial services are male. Yet, the industry is changing. Mature and younger women are being drawn to the profession with new ideas about their career. I believe that women make the BEST financial advisors and career professionals, with the right mentoring and coaching.

WHY do I think women make better advisors?

* You LISTEN to your clients

* You UNDERSTAND people

* You WANT to develop relationships

Coaching for women financial advisors

1. Female advisors can take more risks

Growing up we were taught to “get along” with everyone and not make waves. Well let me tell you: You’ve got to make a fuss to stand out in the crowd. No one will hear your message unless you take a stand.

2. Female career professionals can own their expertise

Your knowledge is worth paying for and learning how to speak up and ask for what you’re worth is vital to your success. Being confident and secure in the knowledge that you have something valuable to contribute will allow you to achieve your goals.

3. Create a unique Value Proposition

Why would someone pick you over any other [male] advisor or professional? What is special about you? Learn to speak your “truth” and go for what you want!

4. Learn to invest in YOU

Your growth in the financial industry depends upon your willingness to invest in YOU. This means investing in skills, credentials, and coaching. Professional athletes have long known the value of coaching. Now it’s your turn.

5. Leverage your creative skills

Women have skills unique to their gender. Creativity in the workplace encourages growth, conversation, personality, and empathy. Women have the ability to transfer creative skills into financial services to position themselves uniquely.

6. What can I help you accomplish?

Growing your firm and your career means making a decision to change what you are doing now. This could mean updating your brand to appeal to a more distinctive target market. It could mean developing leadership skills to manage your staff and encourage ownership in your firm’s success.

Most likely it means that you will GROW. When you work with me as your coach I encourage you to try on new behaviors, step out of your comfort zone, and find ways to develop your business success muscle.

I’ve had the benefit of being mentored by my father, a successful international entrepreneur. Business success skills come naturally to me because I was taught to take risks, be outspoken, and go out and get what I want. This helps me coach you more effectively.

7. Behaviors and actions

  • 8. Goal setting

If you’ve never created goals for your practice or career growth, you will when you work with me. Something magical happens when you decide to dream big and go after what you want.

  • 9. Staff development

Incentivizing your staff to help you grow is a matter of developing personal and business goals. Hiring the right staff will help you reach your goals.

  • 10. Branding Strategy

Women have an amazing opportunity to brand their firms in a creative manner that male advisors are not able to leverage. Get clients from your website using your brand and search engine optimization. I would LOVE to guide you in creating a website destination for your ideal clients by using quality branding.

  • 11. Marketing Strategy

You have the benefit of creativity in crafting the firm’s marketing strategy. There’s no reason why you have to stick with the way things have always been done. You have the power to own your strengths.

  • 12. Work Life Balance

There is a better way to create a good life outside work. I can help you balance your obligations so that you are getting the most out of your career and your life. Create an ideal career where you have more time for the things you love.

  • 13. Relationship development

You’ll need centers of influence to help you service your clients. Are you receiving reciprocal referrals? Are you making the right contacts? Are you leveraging your profession?

  • 14. Accountability

Something magical happens when you are held accountable to me as your coach. You will get things done.

  • 15. Success mentality

Focusing on your goals and working on your business weekly will help you maintain a positive center of attention in your practice.

  • 16. Managing change

Success doesn’t happen overnight. Growing your practice and your career means making changes slowly over time to avoid burnout.

I love working with women financial advisors!

I’m pleased to say that TODAY there are more women in financial planning and investment management than there were back when I started coaching in 2004. This is a great field where you can help people with what they need the most: financial education, money management, financial planning, education planning, social security planning, and retirement income planning.

Gender issues for women in finance

Luckily the older white males (OWM) are leaving the industry opening space for women to start practices, buy practices, and own their value. With the #metoo movement, women are recognizing that they don’t have to put up with gender discrimination! If you have NEVER felt discrimination in finance, I am really happy for you! But, MOST of my female clients have run into situations where they were looked down upon, mistaken for their male business partners’ assistants, or poo-pooed for wanting to become a financial planner. Thank goodness we don’t have to put up with that crud anymore!

I want to hear from you!
